It's now possible to collect and process payment from your guests by credit or debit card in real time at the time of booking.

The payment gateway used is PayPal. This DOES NOT MEAN THE GUEST NEEDS A PAYPAL ACCOUNT.

Very simply, PayPal collect and process their 16 digit card number, CV2, expiry date etc on your behalf without the need for an expensive Internet payment gateway and Internet Merchant bank account.

The money is paid into your own PayPal account, and from there can be transfered to your normal business bank account in 3-5 working days.

In the Admin / Operator page, simply click the "Setup Pref" button.

Select "PayPal" as the payment provider, and enter your PayPal account login (usually an email address) and tick the box to "enable provider". Click "OK" to save the settings.

Then, from within the Admin / Property page, set your required deposit from the 3 options available, and save. (Remember a deposit could be 100%.)

The guest will then be directed to PayPal's secure pages to pay the deposit amount specified at the appropriate point in the booking process, before being returned to your booking page. The guest has the option of paying from their own PayPal account (if applicable) or by using their credit / debit card.

You might consider making a test booking by setting the deposit temporarily to a low value, like "fixed fee" = £1 and entering your own credit card details to confirm everything is behaving as you expect, before setting the real value.
